What is Snapchat Spotlight?
Spotlight is Snapchat's feed of short, vertical videos, similar in style to TikTok and Instagram Reels. It has its own tab in the app, and anyone can submit a snap to it. Unlike stories, Spotlight videos don't disappear after 24 hours. They stay on the creator's public profile until they are removed, and they can be shared with a direct link that looks like snapchat.com/spotlight/….
Because Spotlight videos are public by nature and often funny, useful or simply worth rewatching, people regularly want to save them. Snapchat lets you share a link, but it doesn't offer a simple way to download someone else's Spotlight to your device. That is what this tool does.
Two ways to download Spotlight videos
1. Paste a single Spotlight link
Open the video in Snapchat, tap the Share arrow, choose Copy Link, and paste it here. SnapSave reads the public Spotlight page and returns that one video with a download button. This is the fastest option when you just want a single clip.
2. Enter a creator's username

Common problems and fixes
- "Link not found": the video may have been deleted, or the link was copied incompletely. Copy it again from the Share menu.
- No Spotlight on a profile: not every public profile has posted to Spotlight, and some creators only show a selection of their videos.
- Video won't play on iPhone: open it from the Files app, or tap Share and choose Save Video to move it to Photos first.
Respect the creator
Spotlight creators can earn from their videos, and their work is protected by copyright like any other content. Saving a clip to watch offline or to reference later is fine for personal use.
